Intraocular Lens (IOL) is a specially designed artificial lens implanted inside the eye to replace the natural lens, most commonly during cataract surgery. IOLs restore the eye’s focusing ability and help improve clear vision after the cloudy natural lens is removed. Depending on the patient’s visual needs, different options such as monofocal, multifocal, trifocal, EDOF, and toric lenses are available. The appropriate IOL is selected based on the patient’s eye health, lifestyle, vision requirements, and pre-operative measurements.
